When building or restoring a car we always reuse as much of the original car as possible. Parts not used will be made available for other projects provided that they are safe and functional. As a matter of policy, we dispose of all fluids from cars in a responsible manner.
Restoring an older car makes sense from an environmental perspective as there are significant impacts from both manufacturing a new car and sending your car to a scrap yard. A 2004 analysis found that as much as 28 percent of the carbon dioxide emissions generated during the lifecycle of a typical car occur during its manufacture and its transportation to the dealer.
